Technology Transfer Manager*

As Technology Transfer Manager* at BioNTech, you will be making a meaningful contribution to the ongoing development of our RNA production processes. In this role, you own, manage and lead cross-functional technology transfer teams in time, compliance and budget, supporting us on our mission. Your main responsibilities are:
  • Managing and leading technology transfer team across disciplines (e.g., manufacturing, quality, analytics, materials) in time, compliance and budget
  • Ensuring implementation of best practices and lessons learnt from past technology transfers
  • Within a certain technology transfer project, running the technology transfer related governance and respective reporting, communication and escalation within BNT
  • Leading optimization and continuous improvement of technology transfer activities and related processes
  • Implementing a training of process engineers in new standards
  • Initiating, setting up and planning tech transfer projects, e.g., incl. project plan, technology transfer plan (TTP), budget, resource planning

What you have to offer.

  • University degree in (Life) Science, Engineering or a medical field
  • Several years of practical experience of technology transfers in the life science industry (ideally a biotech or pharmaceutical company)
  • High team spirit and excellent collaborating skills; effective stakeholder management, both in cross-functional internal and external matrix team environment
  • Profound knowledge of EU / US GMP guidelines and regulatory standards
  • Very good process management skills, Lean and Six Sigma qualifications preferred  
  • Creativity and the ability to develop a flexible approach to changing conditions
  • Refined colloquial and correspondence skills in both German and English; presentation skills adaptable to all levels of internal and external stakeholders
