Supply Chain Inventory Manager*

As parental leave replacement - 1 year fixed-term contract

At BioNTech, you will ensure smooth processes in the supply chains and thereby make an essential contribution to the manufacturing of our COVID-19 vaccine using RNA technology. Your main responsibilities are:
  • Requirements planning with focus on raw- and starting materials of iNeST and Corona vaccine production using MRP system
  • Surveillance of MRP to ERP ordering process with focus on OTIF deliveries based on optimal material shelf-life and order batch sizes
  • Material coverage analysis and sustainable adaptation of planning parameters as well as material master data management and quality complaint management in cooperation with all production modules, QA, QC, purchasing, research and development departments and internal SCM partners for all production sites dealing with iNeST and CorVac
  • Managing material bottlenecks incl. escalation process and monitoring of special supply materials
  • Developing material forecasts to set-up, negotiate and optimize supply agreements

What you have to offer.

  • Successfully completed degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business or Engineering
  • Several years within supply chain management or material planning in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Good English and German skills (both written and spoken)
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills as well as affinity for IT and MRP tools.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic targets and expanding processes
