Solution Manager, Clinical Development (R&D Data, Digital & Informatics)

BioNTech is a Germany-based biotechnology company with U.S. offices in Cambridge, MA and Gaithersburg, MD, that focuses on developing cancer therapeutics, including individualized immunotherapy, as well as vaccines for infectious diseases, including COVID-19. The company’s oncology pipeline contains several classes of drugs, including mRNA-based drugs to encode antigens, neoantigens, cytokines, and antibodies; cell therapies; bispecific antibodies; and small-molecule immunomodulators. BioNTech is partnered with several large pharmaceutical companies, including Roche, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Sanofi, and Genmab. Comirnaty (COVID-19 vaccine) is its first commercialized product.
BioNTech is seeking a Solution manager, Clinical Development for our new R&D Data, Digital & Informatics team.

Here, you’ll achieve greatness.

  • Works closely with vendor(s) to provide 2nd/3rd level support and ensures the operability of the responsible systems
  • Work with procurement, legal and finance to maintain contracts
  • Responsible for the end-to-end application lifecycle management and implementation of change and validation measures in accordance with current laws and regulations
  • Facilitates the strategic plan on rolling out new releases and add-ons of respective systems
  • Maintains conceptual and detailed system design/development/configuration and documentation for new and existing systems in cooperation with external partners/suppliers, following release
  • Responsible for ensuring the system is in a validated and compliant status
  • Establishes and monitors SLAs for vendors
  • Maintains service provider data within ServiceNow
  • Serves as point of contact for the specific solution for external vendors

What you have to offer.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Medical, or Biomedical sciences
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in a Product Management related role such as Product Manager, Product Owner, Product Analyst, System owner
  • Experience within biopharmaceuticals or concurrent industry preferred
  • Experience in working with Regulatory Affairs, or Clinical applications and data analytical systems preferable
  • Comprehension of the Product Life Cycle of software products
  • Understanding of technical requirements and setup of a SaaS solution including infrastructure
  • Ability to transform business demand into technical requirements
  • General understanding of main tasks to operate and manage a SaaS solution
  • Work Management (Development Iteration Planning and Backlog Reviews)
