BioNTech is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to join Peptide Chemistry group at BioNTech US. The candidate will work independently in a highly collaborative and cross-functional team to develop cancer immunotherapies.

Supporting BioNTech’s R&D team in the US by:
  • Analyze and characterize peptides and small molecules
  • Develop and optimize analytical methods for peptides, small molecules, conjugates, and their formulations
  • Conduct in vitro enzymatic assays, plasma stability studies, and substrate specificity measurements
  • Analyze samples of pharmacokinetic studies
  • Work cross-functionally within the organization in various areas including peptide chemistry, small molecule medicinal chemistry, conjugation chemistry, formulation, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics
  • Liaise with CROs

What you have to offer.

  • Minimum Requirements; Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or a related discipline with 3+ years of industry experience in drug discovery is required. 
  • Hands-on experience in peptide and small molecule analysis and characterization
  • Experience in enzymatic assays, plasma stability measurements, and pharmacokinetic studies
  • Proven experience in a wide range of analytical techniques including HPLC, UPLC, MS (e.g., triple quadrupole MS), LC-MS, etc.
  • Experience in high-throughput fluorescence- and/or FRET-based assays is a plus
  • Proven track record of creative thinking and consistent delivery as demonstrated by publication/presentation records
  • Highly organized with a pro-active mentality
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team and collaborative environment
