Scientist* RNA Analytics

For all mRNA-based active substances, DNA matrices are required that define the sequence of the resulting active substances. For the quality control of these sequences, procedures have to be established. Special focus of this position is therefore on the (further) development of Sanger sequencing (sample preparation, instrumental execution, evaluation) and its transfer to quality control departments as well as method-specific troubleshooting.

Your main responsibilities are:
  • Sanger sequencing method development for quality control of nucleic acids including sample preparation, practical execution, data analysis and reporting
  • Development of procedures to analyze and evaluate Sanger sequencing data in a GMP environment
  • Transfer of analytical procedures into quality control departments (GMP)
  • Scientific guidance and supporting troubleshooting activities for Sanger sequencing in release analytics

What you have to offer.

  • PhD in analytical (bio-)chemistry or similar field or M. sc. and relevant subject-specific working experience
  • Profound knowledge in the development of analytical assays, especially Sanger Sequencing and PCR-based methods. Experience in analyzing sequencing data desirable.
  • Independent way of working, hands-on mentality and capacity for teamwork
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (spoken and written)
