Scientist* Flow Cytometry Core Facility

At BioNTech, you will provide a high-quality service and support to our international research community. Accompanied with our fleet expansion we need your support in taking responsibilities for high end devices, analyzing platforms and laboratories. Your main responsibilities are:
  • Managing the flow cytometry devices (FACS) and application FlowJo, training of colleagues and improving analyzing strategies in cooperation with research teams
  • Consult on experimental design, sample preparation and analyses of flow cytometry projects for multiple research and development teams
  • Design and develop specialized flow cytometry methods and techniques and collaborate to answer research questions
  • Ensure all Flow Cytometry Core Facility instruments are properly maintained and functioning at optimal performance levels
  • Manage/Performs sorts as a service for researchers
  • Provide operation procedures and reports

What you have to offer.

  • Successfully completed degree in biology, biotechnology, immunology, biochemistry or related discipline as well as several years of relevant work experience
  • Enjoys solving challenging technical and scientific questions in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of proficiency on flow cytometry analyzers and sorters (BD FACSymphony or comparable)
  • Proven experience on handling complex FlowJo tasks
  • Experience across multiple scientific areas including immuno-phenotyping, cytokine expression, phospho-flow, apoptosis, and other relevant applications are beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Independent, flexible, self-motivated, and the ability to work well with others
  • Fluent German and English skills (both written and spoken)
