BioNTech US is seeking an exceptional Scientist to join our Computational Biology team!

 

Here, you’ll achieve greatness.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Computational analysis of mass spectrometry data with the goals of:
    • Discovering novel cancer therapy targets (especially for vaccines and cellular therapies like TCR-T and CAR-T)
    • Evaluating/designing new algorithms for spectral interpretation
  • Investigation of new hypotheses and target concepts (e.g "dark matter", cancer-specific PTMs, translational errors, etc.) using genomics and proteomics data
  • Data-driven design of mRNA vaccines for infectious disease
  • Development of deep-learning based methods for epitope mapping and prediction
  • Collaboration with diverse scientific teams (especially proteomics bench scientists) towards the goal of bringing new targets into the clinic; leading/co-leading projects in a multifunctional, matrixed team setting

What you have to offer.


Requirements:
  • PhD in Computational Biology or related field
  • Expertise in proteomics and mass spectrometry
  • Proficiency with Python or R
  • Experience working in Linux environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Preferred:  Understanding of immunology, especially T cell biology
  • Preferred:  Understanding of cancer biology
Preferred:  Understanding of structural biology
