Scientist* Cancer Vaccines

At BioNTech you will contribute to the preclinical research and development of innovative cancer immunotherapies such as next-generation immunomodulators and cancer vaccines. You will be part of a dynamic team of highly motivated scientists, collaborating with cross-functional experts to advance the cancer treatment of tomorrow. Your main responsibilities are:
  • Design, perform, analyze and document complex cell based in vitro assays as well as in vivo studies in mice in the field of cancer immunotherapy
  • Present and discuss data within a team of experts, associated subject matter experts or scientific conferences
  • Establish new or optimize existing methods and processes
  • Write scientific reports, publications and animal experiment license applications and support the drafting of patents and regulatory documents for clinical trial initiation
  • Stay up to date with the progress in the field (scientific literature, seminars, conferences)

What you have to offer.

  • PhD in Immunology, preferably in immune oncology or a related discipline
  • Proficient in working with mice (handling, diverse injection routes such as i.v., s.c., i.m.), experience with mouse tumor models is a plus
  • Proactive, independent, structured, curious and highly motivated
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to efficiently relay information to project teams and other key stakeholders
  • Enjoys solving challenging scientific questions in a fast paced environment
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must, German is a plus
