Research Scientist* MAP Screening & Biology

At our Munich site (Neuried), you will be part of the Antibody Discovery Platform and heavily engage in diverse projects and workflows of our Screening & Biology group. You will deep-dive into the biology of therapeutic targets and develop strategies for novel therapeutic discoveries.

Your main responsibilities are:
  • Hands-on screening and characterization of novel therapeutic antibodies with state-of-the-art-technologies
  • Design, perform and document experiments in therapeutic R&D projects entirely independently and provide solutions for emerging challenges
  • Establish new or adapt existing assays and processes, including high-throughput methodologies
  • Proactively contribute innovative ideas on platform development as well as  technical or methodical solutions
  • Present data and project summaries to the research team and in cross-functional project meetings
  • Participate in lab infrastructure routines

What you have to offer.

  • Master’s degree with 5 years of professional experience or a Ph.D. in the field of Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related sciences
  • Profound experience in immunological methods, antibody characterization, cell-based in vitro assays and multicolor flow cytometry, experience with high-throughput methodologies and assay automation is an advantage
  • Sound scientific background in immunology and immuno-oncology and excellent skills in deducing project-relevant ideas from scientific literature
  • Good knowledge of Excel, statistical analyses, ideally experienced user of XLfit and/or GraphPad Prism software
  • Ability to work well structured and independently in a fast-paced environment as well as joy in working in an interdisciplinary and international environment
  • Highly collaborative and supportive mindset of delivering solutions to the entire team
  • Very good German and English language skills
