Become a member of the BioNTech Family!

As a part of our team of more than 2.500 pioneers, you will play a key role in developing solutions for some of the most crucial scientific challenges of our age. Within less than a year, we were able to develop our COVID-19 mRNA vaccine following the highest scientific and ethical standards – writing medical history.

We aim to reduce the suffering of people with life-changing therapies by harnessing the potential of the immune system to develop novel therapies against cancer and infectious diseases. While doing so, we are guided by our three company values: united, innovative, passionate. Get in touch with us if you are looking to be a part of creating hope for a healthy future in many people's lives.

  • In close collaboration with the research scientists, target-specific ligands will be identified via phage display selection and high-throughput screening involving molecular biology, protein biochemistry, cell biology and automation-based methods
  • Cloning of selected ligands into suitable vectors and expression (E. coli and/or mammalian cells), purification (FPLC, Äkta systems) and characterization (ELISA, BLI/SPR, HPLC-SEC, functional assays etc.) of the identified ligands
  • Adaption of assay principles to high-throughput processes
  • Careful and independent execution and documentation of the experiments
  • Continuous improvement of methods, writing of SOPs
  • Lab organization (optimization of lab processes, ordering of reagents etc.)

What you have to offer.

  • Completed scientific-technical vocational training as MTLA, BTA, CTA biology laboratory assistant (m / f) or comparable qualification (e.g. Bachelor or Master of Science)
  • Extensive experience with molecular biological (e.g. PCR, cloning) and protein biochemical methods (e.g. ELISA and Western blotting) as well as expression of recombinant proteins in bacterial and mammalian systems
  • Ideally, you have a background in the antibody discovery field and hands-on experience with library generation and display technologies like phage, yeast or mammalian display and are also familiar with cell culture and cell based analysis techniques (FACS)
  • Communication and organizational skills
