Research Associate* Immunoreceptor Therapy

Soon you will join BioNTech as part of a highly innovative team to become a global pioneer in the development of completely novel immunotherapies against cancer.

Your main responsibilities are:
  • Independent execution, data analysis and documentation and independent interpretation (within content and time constraints) of complex in vitro and in vivo experiments without specific work instructions.
  • Participation in the establishment of new methods
  • Organizational activities for the laboratory area (replenishment and ordering of material, training of staff, responsibility for small equipment)
  • Participation in revision and creation of SOPs/methods

What you have to offer.

  • Scientific-technical vocational training (e.g. as biology laboratory technician*, BTA* or MTLA*), completed scientific studies (e.g. in biotechnology, molecular biology) or comparable qualification.
  • Sound knowledge of immunological (e.g. flow cytometry, ELISA) and molecular biological methods (e.g. cloning techniques, transfection, transduction)
  • Initial work experience in the field of T-cell immunology and/or infectious diseases is a plus and a FELASA-B or comparable certificate is a plus
  • Experience in handling primary immune cells (e.g. isolation and cultivation)
  • Good knowledge of English, German would be a plus.
  • Structured and precise way of working, high level of motivation as well as strong team spirit
