Global Medical Affairs Associate Director

The Medical Affairs Associate Director is a member of the Global Medical Affairs Team. Working with the Senior Director of Medical Affairs, Global for Vaccines, the primary duty is to support implementation of the medical strategy for BNT162 and the Infectious Disease portfolio, to ensure appropriate alignment with overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Director of Medical Affairs, Global in relation to collaboration with our partners, in development of BioNTech´s Medical Strategic Plans and Tactics.
  • Support the efforts to ensure consistency and alignment with our partners in relation to the Global Medical Affairs Strategy and all relevant resources
  • Provide support and project management for specific projects within the Global Medical Affairs function, such as website initiatives, medical communications, and medical training plans, in line with the global medical strategy
  • Provide ad hoc support and review of key medical activities such as global advisory boards, train the trainer events and congress/online webinars 
  • Present data on product / disease area at internal training sessions and external meetings with collaboration partners, as delegated
  • Serve as a key medical resource on the disease area and on specific product.  Maintain a high level of expertise on the disease area.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of global pharmaceutical regulations, guidelines codes of practices and BioNtech policies related to all medical activities


What you have to offer.

Candidate Experience:
  • Pharmacist, PhD or MD
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in biopharmaceutical medicine, preferably within a matrix or franchise structure.
  • Deep experience in Medical Affairs 
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience in leading brand or disease strategy at a country or regional level is preferred
  • Experience in the disease area of interest through clinical experience, biopharmaceutical experience or education preferred
