Director* Strategy and Change Initiative Implementation

As Director* Strategy and Change Initiative Implementation you will be working hand-in-hand with the Vice President Strategy and Operations, to plan and deliver a portfolio of change initiatives to support the overall transformation of the company. You are responsible for developing, executing and tracking capability-building/ training measures for the clinical development function, and other areas of BioNTech. You will use advanced communication and change management methodologies to inform, engage and take along colleagues in ongoing initiatives. This role is a doer and loves to exchange with people, and thereby influences across multiple layers of the organization

Your main responsibilities are:
  • Lead change management initiatives within clinical development organization and beyond
  • Define and lead capability-building and internal training measures to support the broader team to embrace new ways of working, understanding and applying team collaboration approaches, specifically focused on drug development, submission and launches
  • Defines and delivers communication actions to ensure transparency and ongoing and upcoming changes in the organization, their impact as well as required follow up actions
  • Works hand-in-hand with senior leaders of the organization to prepare specific communication materials, and identifies appropriate channels
  • Uses listening tools to understand where communication/ information gaps are in the organization
  • Defines measures and work streams to drive overall engagement, and supporting the achievement of an inspirational working environment
  • Works closely together with HR colleagues to define measures for an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging working environment, in which it is fun to work

What you have to offer.

  • Excellent university degree (M.Sc.); PhD/ MD/ MBA qualification a plus.
  • Multiple years (>8) of work experience in acting as a change and communication agent, driving complex organizational changes; Professional qualification as coach/ trainer/ facilitator is a plus
  • Significant experience in delivering major change projects/ strategy realization projects in a complex, matrix organization
  • Deep hand-on experience around designing, preparing and conducting capability building and training measures.
  • Hands-on experience in designing functional communication materials, and advanced writing and story lining skills
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and conceptional thinking combined with a hands-on mentality and the ability to match business needs with change, communication and training needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and horizontally lead in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to drive results through strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and advanced professional standing and ability to trustfully collaborate with colleagues in the business including senior management
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
