Director* Strategic Partnerships (Asia)

As Director* Strategic Partnerships (Asia), you will be making a meaningful contribution to the ongoing development of our RNA production processes. In this role, you will define and shape the JV strategy and relationships completely independently, supporting us on our mission. Your main responsibilities are:
  • Managing the performance of the JV accounts and team, i.e. setting aspirational targets for the JV' KPI dashboards, serving as primary point of escalation for challenges and target adherence, as well as reviewing KPIs with JV and internal teams
  • Ensuring the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and communicating changes and challenges with suppliers
  • Leading and reviewing continuous improvement projects and prioritizing and leading innovation ideas (e.g., drug delivery systems) in collaboration with JV
  • Assuring the SRM serves as single point of contact to 3rd parties; coordinating across functions and leadership teams; leading all functions assigned to the JV (e.g., Quality, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MS&T), Analytical Science & Technology (AS&T), Supply Chain Management (SCM), etc.)
  • Setting resource plans and budgets for the JV 
  • Planning major projects required in the upcoming year
  • Creating project (capacity, saving, changes)
  • Writing 3-5 year strategic plan

What you have to offer.

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business Management, Engineering, Life Sciences or a Medical Field
  • Several years of experience in the life science industry (ideally a biotech or pharmaceutical company), including expertise in Supplier Relationships Management 
  • In-depth business knowledge of biotech and pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain operations
  • Good combination of strategic and operational skills; ability to make flexible, but thorough decisions in a highly dynamic environmentDemonstrated ability to negotiate and manage contracts, and establish and control budgets
  • Effective stakeholder management, both in cross-functional internal and external matrix team environment
  • Profound knowledge of relevant US, EU and Chinese regulations, EMA, FDA and other regulatory standards as well as Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Creativity and the ability to develop a flexible approach to changing conditions
  • Organizational skills to ensure optimal resource allocation
  • Refined colloquial and correspondence skills in both German and English; presentation skills adaptable to all levels of internal and external stakeholders
