Director* Clinical Data Management

Together with your managers, you will supervise clinical study data management teams and support the global strategic build out of the department to help BioNTech become a worldwide forerunner for modern immunotherapies.

The Role
  • Oversight of multiple programs and project DM teams within BioNTech, supervision and issue resolution on topics that are reported out to the DM study teams.
  • Partnership with the Head of Clinical Data Management to develop and refine processes and strategic advancement of the clinical Data Management function.
  • Active vendor oversight and governance.  Serve as point of escalation for issues.
  • Resource planning for project teams, lead hiring processes, develop current colleagues.
  • Budgetary oversight for multiple projects and programs for data management.


What you have to offer.

  • BS degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent.
  • MS with a minimum of 8 or BS with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical industry or other clinical research setting with clinical trials; direct supervisory experience preferred.
  • Highly competent in clinical data management, various EDC systems, CDASH and medical coding dictionaries.
  • Thorough understanding of GCP and ICH Guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with departmental resource allocation and labor requirement assessment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and strong negotiation, and organizational skills; Must be able to work independently.
