Coordinating Specimen Processing Specialist

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical sites and contracted labs with sample processing assistance to support Biomarker and/or PK collection and processing in context of clinical studies.
  • Provide guidance on appropriate sample collection techniques, coordinate work schedules with multiple lab Managers (Clinical Pathology, Histology, Pharmacology, Translational Scientist, etc.) and interface with multiple lab-/ clinical site functions.
  • Completes study-related activities according to applicable Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Regulations, SOPs and Working Instructions (WI).
  • Conducts Biomarker sample processing procedures, including micro-sample processing, in alignment with study protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and timelines.
  • Ensure required supplies are readily available at clinical sites and stock is utilized with minimal waste.

What you have to offer.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Pharmaceutical or other Science discipline
  • A certification in clinical research (eg, CRA training) or project management would be preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in processing clinical specimen (eg, in central- or analytical laboratory), vendors / sites management, clinical sample (eg, Biomarker, PK/PD) logistics, tracking/reconciliation and analysis.
  • Experience with GCP/GLP environment and Lab Management System (eg, LIMS)
