As part of our Competitive Intelligence team your will identify, assess, and monitor competitor's scientific assets in order to enable teams within our R&D organization and Senior Management to understand the evolutions of the external environment & proactively manage competitive threats & opportunities.

Supporting BioNTech’s Team in the US:
  • Communicate context, insights and objective analysis of competitive information to R&D Program Teams and Senior Leadership throughout the organization to support decision making. 
  • With input from relevant stakeholders, maintain and evolve existing processes for gathering, summarizing, and distributing competitive intelligence insights relevant to BioNTech’s pipeline. 
  • Maintain and update competitive landscape analyses and competitor profiles for BioNTech’s therapeutic areas of focus and deliver accurate, timely, and actionable updates to key stakeholders (e.g., key readouts, safety signals, launch estimates, upcoming catalysts). 
  • Collaborate with partners in Strategy, Corporate Development, Commercial, Investor Relations, Research, Clinical Development and Program Management to define key strategic questions and support competitive intelligence needs. 
  • Work in a highly cross functional manner and manage changing priorities across several key stakeholders. 
  • Attend and lead CI efforts at major conferences, including pre- and post- conference analyses of key abstracts, publications, and presentations to provide insights on emerging scientific and clinical data. 
  • Manage a network of secondary data sources. 
  • Continuously enhance CI capabilities through People Development (hiring, training, cross-functional projects, promotion) and technical innovation. 

What you have to offer.

  • Minimum requirements; Bachelors’ Degree in sciences, medicine or comparable field of study. 8 plus years of experience in competitive intelligence. 
  • Long-term professional, hands-on experience in competitive intelligence in the biotech or pharma fields.  
  • Proven knowledge of processes, methods, and sources as they relate to competitive intelligence
  • High-level of interactivity, an open mindset, willingness to act in a pro-active and foresighted manner, and to take full accountability for your competitive intelligence findings
  • Language skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Driven, flexible able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment as well as the ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications - PhD, MD or PharmD. Competitive Intelligence in Oncology and Infectious Diseases.
