What we do with the BioNTainers:
We want to improve healthcare by making our innovations accessible worldwide. Therefore, we developed the first modular mRNA-manufacturing facilities based on a container solution called “BioNTainers”.  The aim is to build a regional manufacturing network in Africa, with Africa, for Africa.
 
Why we need you:
The BioNTainers will be equipped to produce a range of mRNA-based vaccines targeted towards the needs of African Union member states. You will become part of the regional staffing team, driving the establishment of the regional African end-to-end mRNA manufacturing network.
 

Administrator* IT Support

The IT OnSite-Support Office administrator processes requests and resolves faults on employees' end devices that have been reported via the ticket system. They advise employees on the selection and set-up of suitable hardware and software for specific needs. They fulfill an interface function to other IT departments. This includes maintenance and service of the IT infrastructure as well as the application portfolio at the Kigali site in cooperation with the central IT departments.

Your main responsibilities are:
  • Ramp-up of the new Kigali facility in cooperation with global IT colleagues
  • Distribution and set up of IT and office equipment for new employees in Kigali
  • Development of local IT structure aligned to BioNTech’s IT processes
  • Processing of requests via the IT ticket system
  • Local support and maintenance for general IT topics
  • Troubleshooting of client systems
  • Consulting on IT topics for employees

What you have to offer.

Education:
  • Relevant education, formation, and training for a broad IT knowledge base
  • Know how about the operation of IT infrastructure, if possible in pharmaceutical industry
Languages:
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • German or French are a plus
Competencies:
  • Knowledge and relevant professional experience in different IT fields like user applications, office equipment, and IT infrastructure
  • Service and process oriented and structured working
  • Ability to organize and prioritize different work loads
  • Interest and capability to work in a team and with local and global colleagues

Benefits & Compensation.
